What was your favorite subject in school?
I originally come from a science background. However, after completing my graduation, my interest gradually turned toward history. Many people often say that studying history requires a lot of memorization and that there’s no point in learning about what has already passed. But I believe that’s not true — history is not just about knowing the past; it is about understanding the present and shaping the future.
History teaches us how to live. It is not merely read; it is experienced. There’s a saying that goes, “If you wish to atone for your sins, study history.” In truth, history holds a mirror to our mistakes, our achievements, and the long journey of our civilization.
That’s why, for me, history is not just a subject — it is an art of understanding life itself.
